Board performance is widely recognized as a critical ingredient in a nonprofit organizations ability to achieve impact. Many independent school boards have the passion for organization, but many are doing this volunteer job for the very first time. Many boards do not truly understand what effective board performance looks like and how their board can become more effective.
Research shows that there’s a direct correlation between effective board performance and long longevity in school leadership. This combination leads to a very successful independent school organization. On the contrary, when these two leadership groups don’t work well together issues often happen within the school environment.
