We believe that most independent school strategic plans are not the least bit strategic: they are operational. Operational plans are still critically important for a head of school to run an independent school. Strategy, we believe, is how a school beats its competition and stands out in a crowded marketplace with niche programming.

Most independent schools move forward with planning without a clear Vision Statement. We wonder how you can build a plan if you don’t know where you’re going.
